Color Me Happy

April 13th, 2017

It’s easy to tell by this blog that I’ve been concentrating my business in the newborn/family market, so I was ecstatic to get a chance to break out of my norm and do another engagement session!  Not only would there be no chasing  the 2 year olds begging for every smile, but this particular couple sounded […]

It’s easy to tell by this blog that I’ve been concentrating my business in the newborn/family market, so I was ecstatic to get a chance to break out of my norm and do another engagement session!  Not only would there be no chasing  the 2 year olds begging for every smile, but this particular couple sounded remarkably fun right from the get-go.  They did not disappoint, as you can see from these pictures!  Congratulations Jason and Elise!

Engagement on Ladybird Lake!

July 20th, 2011

Our great friends, Chris and Malinda, recently got engaged while on a walk around Ladybird Lake (formerly known as Town Lake) and I was thrilled when they asked me to take some engagement pictures. They’re heading to California soon for Chris to start his MBA, and this was a great way for me to get […]

Our great friends, Chris and Malinda, recently got engaged while on a walk around Ladybird Lake (formerly known as Town Lake) and I was thrilled when they asked me to take some engagement pictures. They’re heading to California soon for Chris to start his MBA, and this was a great way for me to get to spend some time with them before they left. Their new dog Sprocket, I mean, Zooey came along for the ride too, and she was amazing!!

Enjoy your sneak peek, White and Mals!

Went to the Chapel (well, Durham Lake anyway)

August 25th, 2010

Saturday gave me the great pleasure of watching (and photographing!) my cousin Jaclyn and Kyle’s wedding. They had a beautiful ceremony at “Durham Lake” (our family’s lake/pond) in front of the house where Jaclyn grew up and then an equally stunning reception at Pewter Hall in Brownstown, Indiana. 300+ people were there to watch them […]

They had a beautiful ceremony at “Durham Lake” (our family’s lake/pond) in front of the house where Jaclyn grew up and then an equally stunning reception at Pewter Hall in Brownstown, Indiana. 300+ people were there to watch them exchange vows and then partake in the fun that evening as we drained the bar faster that you can say “cow-tipping”!

In case you guys get to check this while you’re on your honeymoon, Congratulations again and hope you’re having a wonderful time!

Just around the corner…

August 16th, 2010

I finally got a chance to meet Cassie and Matt last night, and I must say that this session was worth the wait! My car was reading 110 degrees when I left the house to meet them at the Capitol, but you certainly can’t tell that they were sweltering in these pictures. I can’t wait […]

My car was reading 110 degrees when I left the house to meet them at the Capitol, but you certainly can’t tell that they were sweltering in these pictures. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the end of the month!!! With a couple as beautiful as this, what photographer wouldn’t be excited?!

Hope you enjoy your sneak peek, guys and I’ll see you again in 12 days!!

and my personal (steamy) favorite…

Kyle & Jaclyn

December 2nd, 2009

While I was home in Indiana for Thanksgiving, my cousin Jaclyn announced her engagement to Kyle! I’ve been hearing about him for years now, but always seemed to miss him at family gatherings.  So, not only did I finally get to meet him, but I got to take a few quick engagement photos too! These were taken at “Durham Lake”, which is just outside Jaclyn’s parent’s house and has been in our family for quite a number of years.

Congratulations guys! Can’t wait for the wedding!

Jordan & Karen

November 2nd, 2009

You know that old saying, “Good things come to those who wait”?  I can personally say how true it is, now that I’ve done Jordan and Karen’s engagement photos.  We’ve been planning this session for a few months and have been rained out (more than once) and even battled the flu.  Sunday morning was a […]

Our very good friends, Mark and Mandy, recently got hitched in the DFW area and stopped in Austin on the way to their honeymoon. We took them out for a quick shoot in downtown and then to a celebratory dinner at Moonshine. Can’t decide which was more delicious – the pictures or the food!   To […]

The McGuire’s

April 11th, 2009

I got the chance to photograph our friends, The McGuire’s, while we were in Washington D.C. for a wedding last weekend. The air was a little chilly, but at least we had bright sunny skies (after a rain delay from the day before). The Cherry Blossoms were in full effect, and made for a great […]
