Ask a Texan about the surest sign that Spring has arrived, and you’re bound to hear an answer about our state flower, the Bluebonnet. Every year, thousands of people pull over on the shoulder of every major highway that sprouts these blue flowers and plop their kids in the middle of a patch in hopes of grabbing a picture. Last year, because of the drought, bluebonnets were pretty hard to find, but the winter rain has certainly made up for it this year! They’re EVERYWHERE and SO vibrant!

It’s only natural that Matt and Meghan wanted to document Murphy’s first Spring in Texas, so we headed out this morning to see if the rain would hold out (a little mist never hurt anyone) and I’m so glad we did – you can just see the love that this family shares!

And… if Murphy looks a little familiar, you may remember her from my first ever newborn session! I can’t believe how much she’s grown!

Thanks for an awesome morning, K family!

I met the J family on a beautiful Saturday morning in the Arboretum to capture some of this little guy’s 1st birthday photos!  We really couldn’t have asked for a better day, and even though there were some bumps and bruises along the way (and some scary geese!), there’s nothing that some balloons and a kiss from Mom can’t fix…

Hope you enjoy them L & A, and I had a blast meeting you!

Check out these killer eyes!!!
